Hi all, I purchased an 81 X low mileage, on the header # 6 it had some blueing. The bike had been sitting for a long time and the carburetors had to be cleaned.

I found mostly the slow jets plugged and re-assemble it.

Now the 5 cylinders out of 6 have a small tint of gold and one blueing # 6

The engine runs very well and by touching the header upon start up they all get warm evenly.

i'm not sure where to address this lean condition, the plug was removed and it is indeed lean.

Any thoughts ?

Thoughts Re-synch the bank

Since it is the outside carb I took the top and slide out and removed the bowl. I inspected the main jet "105" and looked at the tube as well.

It looks normal, while at I took the float needle seat off and cleaned the filter, it was fine. Then I took the small plastic cap from the top for the air bleeds and squirted some carb cleaner to view the slow jet passage through the by-pass hole since the top was off, did the same for the main jet air bleed and it pours out of the main jet.

So I believe they are not restricted.

For the heck of it I changed the slide and cleaned the top cap and verified it was operating smoothly watching it bounce against the spring.

Next is to check the insulator boot at the intake.

The Synch is good, as I noted before the engine runs well and idles well.
