Post by tgraytn »

I own a 79 CBX and want to get a good carb. synchronizer. Doe anyone have any suggestions on what to buy and where to get it?

Thanks in advance!

Tom, Mercury Stix are relatively cheap & require no calibration. You can get 2 sets of 4 for less than the price of 6 gauges...

PS Just one mans opinion for what it's worth...

Although mercury sticks have been harder to come by lately as many places restrict the hazardous material.

Hi,

Try the TWINMAX, which is a digital carb synch tool. They go for about US$ 100.00, and maybe cheaper on Ebay. It's a quality product made in UK, and can be used for anything with a reciprocating engine, even fuel injection. Good luck!

Thanks, Luigi, I was actually going to ask, if anybody had ever tried one of these. I hear good things about them and there is another make on the market, similar, works on the same principle.
