Carb balancing/syncing
Hi All
I am keen to have a go at this myself and have read about an article in the ICOA Tech Tip chronicles, 'Carburettor Adjustment: The Right Way' but have been unable to find it. Can someone help with a link please?
I have read the Honda manual and it looks like I will need the special tool 07908-4220100 plus perhaps a shorter version 07908-4600200? Not sure why you need both. Has anyone local ish got a set for hire?
Cheers
Glen.

Re: Carb balancing/syncing
Interesting you should ask. There are some guys in the U.K. CBX Riders Club that get together every now and then for a Saturday or Sunday carb sync party.
Tea, biscuits, and all that. You might check in with the riders club as there are some very talented members there.
Very Best,
Phil

Thanks Phil
I joined the UK riders club and the very next day borrowed the carb syncing tools and 6 vacuum gauges form the very knowledgeable Steve Gosine. I now know how to do it and have all the necessary tools to hand.
Happy days

Happy that you have it sorted. You have also now had contact
with Steve "Goss", it was your lucky day. He is a great guy.

Steve overhauled my Carbs and made a super job of them, top bloke! Need a little bit of tweaking but not far off out of the box!

Re: Carb balancing/syncing
Are you kidding me. I find a post that matches exactly what I was looking for. Some way to find Mike Nixons Carb sync articular and for some reason the question never got answered.
And yes I have seen that it is something like volume 9-1 from winter of 1991 I think it said. Unfortunately I cannot find a way to get to that articular other than to go dig through boxes of old xpress mags.
