Rubber Plugs... ?

Post by sacook542 »

Just wondering.
Putting the final touches on the carbs for my '79 and, still waiting for the delivery of new passage plugs.
What would be the down-side of tapping a few threads into the tubes for the idle jets and replacing the rubber plugs with some brass screws?

Probably nothing, as long as the threads seal completely.

Don't laugh, I recently used fired 209 shotgun primers instead of the rubber plugs. Worked great!
