Rechecking myself, I should have used 0.0138" (0.35mm) for the dia of the #35 jet, not the 0.012" which was the size of the wire that passed through it. So, in fact the oversize hole in the pilot jet is only ~69% too large, not 124% too large like I had originally calculated. Still, it's like running a #45 idle jet, which explains a lot.
