Welcome to the site, Jamese.
I am not sure what it is you are looking for but www.siriusconinc.com has tons of carbs parts. If not, i am sure one of the big suppliers will have it.
Tims or CBXman.

I am using a $15.00 junkyard GPZ electric fuel pump on my Kawasaki KZ1300 to keep the carbs primed because the KZ is a notoriously bad starter and the engine radiates a lot of heat up to the carbs and the fuel evaporates when the bike is parked. It works fine. Never thought about using one on the CBX, though. Preventing hydro lock can be achieved by religiously closing the petcock and modifying the carb overflow tubes. This way, you can eliminate the vacuum valve.

i got the idea after reading about the kz problem.they listed a part # and i am going to call on it today.it sounds like the pulse pumps deliver volume but no pressure.i wish i could say i will always turn the petcock off but i have made promises before.what mods need to be done to the overflow tubes?EMS wrote:I am using a $15.00 junkyard GPZ electric fuel pump on my Kawasaki KZ1300 to keep the carbs primed because the KZ is a notoriously bad starter and the engine radiates a lot of heat up to the carbs and the fuel evaporates when the bike is parked. you can use hypnosis to remember to shut off the fuel valve but don't under any circumstances use your wife to hypnotize you. Gotta go now and vacumm the rugs, do the dishes, clean the windows, and then I can have breakfast.

That is the way you should do it. Turning the petcock off will prevent fuel flow into any float chamber. Separating the overflows will prevent fuel flow from float chambers 2 and 3 into 1, which can happen even if the petcock is closed, of course.Terry wrote:Mine on the 79 are that way and I still turn off the petcock.
