carb throtle cables

Hi, I'm about to hook up the throttle cables to my carbs. Is there an easy technique to this Do I need to fish them in a certain way.

I had mine off of my '79 twice in the last week.

Since the carbs were off, I attached the cables before I put the carbs back on the engine. This was MUCH easier.

I have never had much luck putting cables on the carbs with the carbs still attached to the engine.
