What's the best carb rebuild manual

Post by gladders »

Hi there,
What is the best carb rebuild manual, I have the '82 shop manual but the sequence and detail seems a bit off?
Cheers

Agree with Tony on the Mike Nixon manual.
Have a look around on his website as well. There a couple very helpful videos.

I recently re-built my carbs for my 1979 cbx ,my first attempt was without Mikes manual & although the bike was useable I had hard starting , idling issues and low response @ lower RPM , the carbs needed to be removed & re-built , I borrowed Mike Nixons carb re-build manual from a fellow CBX'ER & it was of great help as the bike now runs like it should without any carb issues ,,I think it's money well spent if you have to purchase one , you really want to get the re-build done correctly the first time and avoid the hassle involved in removing and replacing the carbs a second time .

:text-+1: and a library of very good tech articles. At the bottom of the first series
of articles, click on "more tech articles" and there's a whole lot more.
