Plugs black

My 79 Cbx is running rich. Plugs are black. Recently changed air filter, it didn’t help plugs are still black. Any ideas.

Have you checked for good hot spark?

Stock carbs and air box?

To start with, the CBX Plugs should be NGK Spark Plug DR8EA gapped to .025 in

Avoid resistor plugs if you can.
