Got the 469 takeoff pipes on my 80 restoration yesterday. Also got the moldings on the recovered seat done. Now just waiting for the seat strap mounting hardware from David silvers to get here to finish. I’m just about to push the start button!

Started up the other day, pretty rattle-y...needs to be synced and timed but started with one push of the button

Congrats.
First start is a big deal even for someone as experienced as yourself.

For sure! I’m always quietly contemplating it and my wife just shakes her head and tells me “ they always start”!

After sitting in a garage for 38 years, last ridden in 1984, found and 3 years after I picked her up only 13 miles from my island paradise, I went for a short ride around my nieghbor hood.. smooth and powerful . There’s a couple of adjustments I need to make but isn’t there always!!!
You can see more of the progress in restoration’s here on “a garage find close to home”
Thanks for all the help and advice!!
