Darryl's CBX
This is my Garage Find a few months ago, an early 79 (April 78) with 12,092 KMs that has not run in 38 years.
The previous owner took the carbs out and decided that they needed cleaning & took them apart, he sprayed them witha product called Dunk
He put the carbs in 6 coffee cans and there they sat, the stuff he put on them went as hard as a rock & is up to 1/2" thick. So this is going
be a very long project.

Other wise the bike is in great shape, it came with a new chain in the box, a factory green maintenance manual, an upgraded advance unit
and a Euro Sport Kit that never has been out of the box.
Wish me luck.
Darryl

Very nice score! Congratulations! And by the looks of what you have done with the one carb, all will soon (ha ha!) be well. Have fun and keep the pics coming!

Re: Darryl's CBX
Darryl, as we discussed i think the vin and engine numbers are fairly early. Remember i have been wrong before. haha.
If you are not comfortable listing them here i would suggest forwarding them in a p.m. to EMS on this site. He has done extensive cataloging of CBX numbers.

Re: Darryl's CBX
I am afraid it is not THAT early. It is a May 1978, 2nd month of production, bike. Still, very nice and it doesn't really matter when it was built and how early it is.
Unless, you have No 42, or the one with engine serial number 60, nobody will give any extra money for it.
