If you live in Southern California, it is time to get out of there! Now! A just completed landmark study of historic seismic activity, has determined that SoCal is long overdue for a major earthquake along the San Andreas fault.
The study, produced after several years of field studies in the Carrizo Plain area about 100 miles northwest of Los Angeles and released on Friday, August 20, found that earthquakes along the San Andreas fault have occured far more often than previously believed, actually every 88 years on average instead of every 250-450 years, as said for a long time.
The last Big One was in 1857.
