Still kinda new - other machines in the stable

To put some perspective on my recent CBX-Z acquisition, I'm putting up a couple of shots of current stable mates. I won't go into recent departures - or historical two wheeled companions, but there have been a few...
The first of my "other" bikes is one of Honda's other six cylinder motorcycles. No, I'm not referring to the Goldwing. It's a '97 Valkyrie. I've been all over the Intermountain West on this bike - from Washington state to Montana, the PCH, Colorado, New Mexico ghost towns and all four corners of Arizona. It has proven an able mount and is, without a doubt, the finest motorcycle I have ever owned. A '97 "Bumblebee" (yellow and black) it is now dressed as a Tourer. Honda never made a Bumblebee Tourer. Standard only. I acquired the bits and made it pretty unusual for a Valk. Sporting the very desirable Viking pipes and way to many other goodies, I don't see getting rid of this machine any time soon.
Then there's the '78 GL1000 Wing. I bought this one for a song (actually a firearm). It was fully Vetterized. I stripped it and proceeded to lower, detail and "cafe" it. This was about five years ago. This Spring, I got a wild hair and converted to dual Weber 40 IDF downdraft carbs. I must be crazy. It was running flawlessly. After initially running like a cement mixer, it's now almost streetable. Still some fine tuning and, quite honestly, I may just go back to the OEM rack and cut my losses. It's a fun around town bike.
And with those pesky Webers:
These may be back in my future soon:
