A dealer in Burnaby was going to take a 79 CBX with 1 or 2km to Barret Jackson that he got from the Honda Warehouse in Richmond 2 years ago.
Next time I go will ask Frank about it.
Trev Deeley in Burnaby has a red one in their museum with extremely low mileage. It looks brand new.

Rumors, gossip, hearsay, without any proof.

Just talk, and we all know what that's worth.

There was a recent Instagram post only a week or so ago from a moto shop that just sold a 2km 79'. It would appear there is some truth to the story.
CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage

If that's the one also mentioned in a Facebook post, it's a restoration, not an original bike.

In 2000 I bought a red 77 Benelli 750 SEI for 7K CAN (with less than 10K miles) that had been stored in the basement of a guy who owned 3 A&W restaurants.
The bike wasn't very reliable because it had been stored for years and years, so I sold it to a Honda dealer in 2002 for about the same price. It would be worth 4 times that now, I just checked.
Also in 1990, Gary Goodfellow's Honda dealership was going under and he was selling 4-5 bikes like new.
Including a Ducati 852 Superbike and 'New' sand-cast 750 Honda Four for 4K, that's when I bought my ist 80 CBX, a black one for 3K
