Dynodan's Digital Death Valley Doings

Just back from the great first California CBX run of the year to Death Valley, Dan Clark, ICOA #4788, sends this report for our CBXclub.com Members Only.

Our first day on the road ended at Ridgecrest at the south end of China Lake. While most of the California CBXers renewed acquaintances, David Foster decided to do a little front end suspension tuning on the fly. "Hey David, why waste all that time on maintentance before the ride?"
Following the tradition begun last year, the gathered Death Valley CBXers celebrated the beginning of the 1999 riding season with Mucho Margueritas and Mexican Dinner.
Saturday came the fine ride into Death Valley. Windy Spring showers followed us all the way to Furnace Creek, but never got serious, and nothing would keep me from my sight-seeing itinerary. First on the list: Scotty's Castle!
As the beautiful evening began, we sought reflection on the day's events in the bustling nightlife of Furnace Creek (we had to bring our own bustle).
And at the top of my list of places to see was -- the top of Death Valley: the astonishing Dante's View, a mile above the Valley floor!
The California CBXers had yet another truly great Death Valley Run this year!
Oh, by the way, "DAVID, EAT YOUR HEART OUT!"
