Hello,
has anyone tried to get the barrel out of the steering lock on a Euro model? These have the steering lock on the side of the steering head and need a second key to operate.
I don't have a key for mine and am trying to get the lock barrel out so I can get a key made to suit. I have got the "rivet" out that holds the barrel in without to much problems, but can't now get the barrel out.
Any ideas out there?
cheers
Tony

Re: Steering Lock
Hi Tony.
I bought myself a new barrel and key from David Silver, then drilled mine out and replaced it.
If you haven't got the original key, getting the lock out is very hard without damaging it.
Cheers

Re: Steering Lock
A decent locksmith can make a key on the spot with a blank and a file...
