What is this? An ad for nail polish?bikeymikey748 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 3:37 pmIt’s the vent tube from my fuel tank. You can see it in this stylin’ pic.
There’s mention of it as ways back in this build thread when I was working on the tank.

What you can do for sure is build the best for your tastes and needs. That's all any of us can do.

Re: 'Diamond in the rough'
Very kind of you to say, there are pics of it here and there (I’m an unrepentant self-promoter). But Phil took the words out of my mouth. The most important aspect of any build is to make it your own, something that appeals to you.
I was going for a ‘manly aftershave’ sort of pic, but now you mention it...nail polish might be an untested market as well. Stay tuned to this page

Re: 'Diamond in the rough'
More details.
Never impressed with the faux louvers on the RH hose cover (bolts to the clutch cover).
Thought ‘bout painting the sunken areas flat black and then...rediscovered some old alloy speaker covers I had scavenged off a portable radio that I had trash-canned!
A bit of time on the drill press with some carbide burrs to open the cover up, a rough up with my sand-blaster, a re-spray of paint with my hobby gun, and Bob’s yer Uncle
Finished just in time for scotch ‘o clock

Beautiful job. Whether you like this style or not is
irrelevant. Your fabrication skills are to be commended.
And because everyone has an opinion, the four bolts on
the rear secondary fender should be black.

My sincere wish is that you hold onto that bike long enough for me to get mine road-worthy and out to MTL again for a proper ride & a beer or two.

Any more Hooliganism and the Surete might relieve you of that beauty.

Not yet, Mikey.
The roads are still a mess with all the winter debris but the weather looks promising for the weekend.
