I remember using "Golden Spectro" in the early daze which was bike specific...Before all that Castrol GTX....

Gentlemen, you may not want to hear this, but times have changed. The oils that Honda had in mind and recommended in 1979 for the CBX may not exist anymore. Remember, they used to make leaded gas........

Working in the Chula Vista Elementary School District means I have access to many pencil sharpeners and their residue. I've been cleaning up, I take the residue and sort the wood from the lead, I keep vials (old prescription bottles) of the lead on my bike and whenever I fill it up I dump a little lead in the gas. As for the wood (fibre) I usually have it in my sandwich at lunch time, helps the digestive system. That's my solution for the unleaded fuel problem.

Lead???

Post by Tom Neimeyer »

Well George, I thought I had you, everybody knows the "lead" in a pencil is not lead but graphite. Then I realized you are using the graphite as a lubricant to make up for using automotive oil in your motorcycle.

Pretty smart you ole.......

Every oil thread deserves to meet it's end with a good hijack.
