cbx's owned?

Post by sr71cbx »

cb1100f,
I own,in addition to my turbo '79 CBX,a cherry black '80 model X with a D&D ceramic-coated 6:1 header, stage 3 jet kit with individual K&N's,Progressive Suspension components front & rear w/fork brace,Dyna S ignition unit & coils w/422 advancer unit,Corbin seat,Hondaline case guards,150 mph '79 speedo(guess it ain't stock!) :yikes: ,and some fresh Dunlop GT501's front & rear with a 36 tooth rear sprocket from Sprocket Specialists for hi-way running. I wasn't able to add this to the poll once I voted on it.
So add one more '80 model to the fray...........!!!
Take care & ride safe,

EMS,
Yes,my turbo bike is a '79,I put black '80 bodywork on it several years back as it goes real well with the late-model blacked-out engine. It originally was a silver bike. :)

Greetings fellow X-philes. Thought I'd add my two cents to the poll.
I am the proud owner of an 80 CBX. Black, with an 81 fairing on it
and only42k on the clock.
To all, keep riding, and stay safe. Dan Gimelli #5478

Seems I'm down to only one CBX at this time. It's mostly 79 CBX with parts from several others including CB1100F and GS 1150 Suzuki, Turbo 650, VF500 "Interslapper", 81 engine and custom paint

Gee I thought the CBX was somewhat of a rarity. Now I come to find out there are lots of them out there, only the same 3 guys own them all!

feeling left behind

Post by SS »

I was feeling badly, cause everybody has at least a 1/2 dozen scooters but me, so today I went into the heart (Ponatoc, MS) of Mississippi and bought an 80 model CBX as a project/hot rod bike.
By the time I catch up to the "Big Boys" with all their toys, I be too old to ride them.

Gee only 3 more bike to go to match the club average
