First day ride on the CBX

Well after spending two days tinkering with the carbs, or to be more precise, two days of making tools to tinker on the carbs with, finally got them synched nicely and went out for about a 140 mile run today up through the North Georgia mountains. The bike is running like a top which, since it just came out of a four year hibernation, is more than I could have hoped for. Idle is now even and repeatable and it pulls strong and smooth. Haven’t tried pushing it hard yet since the date on the tires makes them 17 years old. Working on some replacements. Sorry, didn’t take any pics today, before someone asks.

Congratulations on getting the carbs sorted.
They are a fun bike to ride.
I personally use BT45 tires but a lot people are using Shinko 230s with great results.

Thanks for the tire info. I’ve used the Shinkos before on my GS with no issues other than they are not a high mileage tire. They are however about half the price of anything else out there.

Good on ya, mate. Especially jealous for the ride. 21 degrees here this morning. Enjoy.
