Recommendations on repLacement exhaust

Post by itsacbx »

Hey all, first time poster....i have acquired a 1979 CBX that has some sort of aftermarket 'performance' exhaust that I dont know the brand...more importantly, its painted black and I hate the look so want to go back to stock or near stock chrome exhaust.
Can those all-knowing members present provide me with recommendations on where to get the best exhaust system, near stock appearance would be ideal. i know of Delkevic and thats about it........
Thx

Delkevic is all I know of for stock looking exhaust.
For an original used set you can ask Louis at "usedcbxparts.com" or Bert at "Six Centre" or post a want ad here on the forum or try "ebay" or maybe try "Tims CBX".

Sankei did a re-issue of the original exhaust not long ago but from what I understand that re-issue has ended...Northeast Vintage Cycle used to carry them but now they list them as out of stock, so maybe they'll be back http://cart.hondanuts.com/Exhaust-Syste ... 06005.aspx ...it's possible Bert at Six Center may have a set
CBX a work in progress, still improving...GS1150EFE completed and awaiting modifications.....RD350, remnants in boxes scattered throughout the garage
