Silver cbx

Post by lowflying1 »

Hi all,

I personaly don't own a cbx, but my brother does, a 1982.

He had a 1979 and it was silver. Now my question is, was the '79

offered in silver and red, or was it a split year for colors?

Any help would be greatly apprieciated.

Thanks,

LF

Silver only in 79. Also available in red. 80s were either red or black, 81s all charcoal grey and all 82s were white.

Oh yeah, the Perseus Silver Xs are the fastest Xs ever made. :D Just ask me.
It ain't the destination, its the journey...

Which is faster -Silver or red ??

Post by CRAZY DAVE »

Of course the silver bike is faster !!! It weighs less. The red bike has one more layer of paint. My red 79 sat out in San Diego so much that the red was bleached out on one side. The clear was still there as was the silver base, just had a tinge of red around the edges..

But the red X looks SO MUCH BETTER !!!!
Don't think of it as a motorcycle-- Think of it as a very fun 2-wheeled engine stand powered by a Japanese Slant Six !!
