Post by bigbob81 »

Hey guys!
I need a little help as always. I have an oil leak
On my''81. I want to change my oil pan gasket.
Could anyone recommend a source for the gasket?
As always, any feedback or additional wisdom is
very much appreciated.

It is an o-ring and may not be the cause. More likely is an o-ring on one of the oil line fittings, or the line itself.

And, the oil passage caps. They, too, are sealed with orings that 'harden' with time and heat.

Speaking of that, the oil passage plugs easily crack, leading to a hard-to-find leak.
