Here is a teaser of the February '79 Oz Two Wheels which has a thorough very critical test of the CBX as well as recording the very first production racing successes. Mick Cole won the Calder 2 Hour, the Surfers Paradise 3 Hour and the Hume Weir One Hour. Also 3rd in the Castrol 6 Hour which Cole should have won but somebody screwed up the tyre change (the rumour was they tried to do it with the bike still in gear!).
I will try and post the entire test for ICOA's archive, if somebody can piece it together into a PDF format???

OK. That's your lot today. Had to scan each page separately and it all took too long. Is anybody actually interested in any of this stuff anyway? The funny thing is Honda addressed every issue criticised by Two Wheels in the Prolink but they did not sell and nearly bankrupted the coy. Sometimes you can't win, no matter what you do. Thanks to Club President Alex Trnovsky for digging this stuff out of the archives for me and for you.
