Dan didn't tell you? Bad Dan. There, all is good now. Dan's dad wants to visit again. When Dan gets here, we're going for a little ride. And we'll try to take someone with us, a responsible adult, like Mike or Terry. We'll behave ourselves. Promise.

Dan's right. Your pic in your avatar looks just like J-Lo. Dan would probably be stupid to leave you alone in Florida with all those single men out there. (How's that, Dan. Have I buttered her up enough?(Oop's))

You are allowed to ridicule all you want, if you can - over your aching backs, inflamed wrists, stiff knees and sore shoulders - while I jump off my BMW fresh and relaxed. 8)
Are you sure you have a CBX? None of my rides gave me any of those problems even when I took the 79 to Montana in 03 or 04. Maybe you're just getting old?

I don't know about Mike but I witnessed how Terry rides. If he is going to be your "responsible" rider, better save up for bail money.

I'm also considering a 50cc (coast to coast in 50 hours) from San Diego to Savannah, GA. Then a casual return, doing about 300 to 500 miles a day and stopping in towns where CBX'ers live. If we do the 50cc the weekend after Labor Day, traffic will be light. Then Monday morning we can ride up the coast from Savannah to Jacksonville, NC. Home of Mike Morley. Our presence could awaken him out of hibernation. From there Tuesday to Deals Gap. Good place to spend the night. Wednesday we will go to Memphis. Bike Night every Wed in Memphis. They close off Beale street except for bikes. We'll park right in front of BB Kings Club. Thursday to Oak Grove, MO, just east of Kansas City. Friday to Omaha, NE to visit Dan Uhing. He said we could ride his single sided swing arm CBX down I 80 as fast as we want to. And he'll pickup the tab for dinner and drinks at the restaurant on top of Harrah's casino in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Really. (That alone should get The Pope on this adventure) Saturday to Chris's in Longmont, CO. He's cool. He'll let us take his bikes off-roading. Sunday to Green River, Utah. We might check out Moab on the way. Monday and all the tourists are at home with the kids in school and we ride over the Devils Backbone, Bryce, Zion, VIRGIN River gorge (yes, there are virgins in the gorge), to Mesquite, NV. From there, we might split up if others need to return but I plan on heading to Alice's restautrant for dinner in the hills above San Jose. I figure we can get really stupid in the hills because the way Terry rides and he still has his license means he probably has good connections (or a good lawyer on retain) and he can save us from embarressment. South from San Jose in the morning, Wednesday I believe by then, to San Diego. That's all folks.

My opinion on riding other bikes on CBX rally's. I know we're (yeah, sure, not me) trying to save our X's. When you see a group of motorcycles going down the road, and two or three are CBX's, The X's disappear into the crowd and it's just another biker gang. When there's a group of CBX's going down the road, you notice. Especially if some forgot to install their baffles :D . This is a free country and I hope any non-CBX's keep their distance behind us to differentiate them from US.

First Chris, "I don't know about Mike but I witnessed how Terry rides. If he is going to be your "responsible" rider, better save up for bail money."

And then George, "I figure we can get really stupid in the hills because the way Terry rides and he still has his license means he probably has good connections (or a good lawyer on retain) and he can save us from embarressment."

What's this "the way Terry rides" supposed to mean :?:  I'm sure I don't know (what) you're talking about. :P I don't recall seeing either one of you in my mirrors...so how do you know 'the way Terry rides?' :o
