After a hectic VMD weekend where my son Robby managed to get a placque for National AMA champion for Superbike Heavyweight on the mighty CBX, it was clear that there is a lot of interest in the CBX at most motorcycle meets. I counted at least 10 CBX's both in shows, in the swapmeet area, and in the paddock. Yet there is total apathy regarding doing anything for the club. It is clear that we need to have a discussion about what we do as a club, what interests the club members, what attracts club members, etc. The latest magazine is about ready to go to print, I received that last article we needed a while ago, now to persuade my daughter to put it together... Articles are like finding hen's teeth, and the articles are supplied by largely the same crowd. The facebook group is MUCH more active, and there seems to be a misconception (still) that the 'Honda CBX 1000 owners club' facebook page is somehow associated with the ICOA, which it is NOT! The ICOA facebook page is the "CBX Six Cylinder Owners" (ICOA) page! Feel free to post your ideas and thoughts below.
P.S. His fastest lap around Mid Ohio on the CBX was 1:52; impressive on the big six!

Interesting that you mention that the Facebook Honda CBX owners club is not assosiated with ICOA... I for one thought it was. Thanks for clearing this up. Regards.

Re: Discussion on how to move forward.
Do note that some members of the FB group/page Honda CBX 1000 owners club are ICOA members. However, that FB page and group, is not an ICOA related.

Re: Discussion on how to move forward.
On the FB page, it's clearly says in the banner:
"Group by CBX Owners Association ICOA"
and below in the topics
"CBX Owners Association (ICOA)"
see here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/1988794 ... ent_follow
So, how is this not part of the ICOA?

And, also pulled from the FB "About this group":
About This Group
A group for open discussion about the Honda CBX 1000 Six Cylinder Motorcycle Sanctioned by the International CBX Owners Association (ICOA). This group supplements the resource of the CBX Owners Club website and forum, accessible freely to all CBX Owners.
If this isn't part of the ICOA, something needs to be done to stop it.

Yes JR, that is our group. No issue there. There’s a second group that Jan refers to.

Oh, THOSE guys. I've stopped/was banned from, seeing their page and have forgotten all about them. Nevermind.
