Took out the old beast for a lil ride
I found a nice 100 mile circuit around a couple of nearby lakes today. Whatta nice ride it was. I could use some stiffer springs on my old Konis. I had the shocks rebuilt by a former Koni tech a couple years back but the springs just aren’t supporting my weight (240) w/o gear. Is there a fix for this or am I gonna have to buy some different shocks?

I think Nils (NobleHops) rebuilds them, maybe he has an opinion. I think you're at the ragged edge of the Koni's limits though at your riding weight, weren't those shocks sprung stiff from the get go anyway?

I got them years ago and they seemed stiff enough for awhile but the shocks needed something even after adjusting them. I’ve gained 20 pounds since then and the shocks still seem ok since their rebuild but I’ve noticed the lack of ‘support’ over bumps and dips is lacking.

As Jeff mentioned, Nils is the guy to contact.

Very nice pic especially because up here we are in the middle of a 36 hour ice storm.
