Leaking two spot brake caliper HELP!

Post by jomi32 »

Hi, I started today my brakes upgrade I set two spot calipers to my -79. But when i start bleeding the system right caliper was leaking and it was leaking from this small wonder screw / plug which is under the brake caliper (screw is in my pic the otherone is ok the other is leaking) it seems that it´s conical with little bit brass.

So my friends how would I solve this problem?

Jomi, i am assuming that is the brake fluid drain plug?
Have you tried a couple wraps of teflon tape?
I have never seen one of those leak. Hopefully the threads are not messed up.

Those plugs are supposed to have a tapered end just like the bleeder does. They should seal by just tightening them. Unless I'm not understanding what part you have leaking.

I am with Dave. These are "NPT" plugs. They are used to close holes that are the result of internal machining of fluid conveying parts. You can use a sealing applicant (Loctite) on the threads. They are not supposed to come out.
