Rear brake pedal adjustment

Post by Kool_Biker »

Hi
Assuming the rear brake pedal on a 79 is correctly aligned with its shaft, and assembled:
How do we set its resting position? I guess by adjusting the length of the rear master cylinder shaft?
And if so, how many mm below the bottom of the RHS footrest should this be adjusted to?

Very kind regards
Aris

Yes you do adjust it at the master, but "how much" would be what's comfortable for you !

Hi,
You can adjust it the level where you feel it more comfortable.
I seems at this time at master.
Thanks

Book says 7mm from the top of the pedal to the top of the footpeg. I just put in in the closest groove that clears the bottom of the footpeg. Seems to work out just about right.
