Front Master Cylinder Rebuild Snap Ring Pliers

Post by kl1688 »

Hi All,

I'm trying to rebuild the front brake master cylinder on my 80 and can't get the cir-clip holding the piston out. I've tried two different cir-clip pliers but they don't reach down in the cylinder.

The shop manual says to use a "special" snap ring plier "07914-3230001".

Would anyone know where to find this tool, or something similar?

Thanks

George

I have a cheap JCWhitney or K&L Supply 90 degree snap ring plier that I use for mastercylinder snap rings.

I ordered mine from tool supplier Kowa Seiki.

It actually came in a Honda parts package!
