fitting paniers

I tried a search but couldnt find what I was looking for but Will the paniers and mounts off a later model CBX fit my 79. Thanks for all replies Bill

In a word - no. Serious mods can be made to do it but you have to be pretty creative.

I just seen a set of 81/82 fitted to a 79 looks like he did a mod on the 81/82 hangers. Rack and bags painted to match candy glory red sold for $128 what a deal.i bagged the fairing of the same seller for $170 complete with mounting system and it's candy glory red,matches my 79

That particular adaptation of Pro-Link bags to a '79 I've seen as well and don't really care for how it was done. The owner doesn't either and may do some more fiddling. As I said before, it would be quite a job to do it and make it look right.

There were some Hondaline bags similar to the Prolink bags that were made for twin-shock models, thinking of the 900F, for example. Their brackets may be easier to adapt to an early '79
