Broken Speedo cable

Post by Steve Lucas »

My speedo cable broke. being a Holiday weekend, I can't reaach my local dealer to find out if they are still available through Honda. Does anyone know if they are? If not, where can they be found. Oh, yeah, it's a '79 model CBX.

Thanks.

Steve

PS. I also recently discovered that one of my coils, has a crack in it and if I get caught in the rain, I lose two cylinders.

Are the coils still avalable too?

ebay sometime gets pricey, when newbie bidders get caught up in a bidding frenzy.

Here are some options for new & used cables:

http://www.cbxsupersport.com/

http://www.cbxman.com/default.aspx

http://www.cmsnl.com/searchparts.php

http://www.westernhillshonda.com/

http://www.timscbx.com/

I got these numbers from our web site listing

44830-356-010 Cable Assy., Speedometer

44831-356-000 Cable, Speedometer Inner

Good luck

Colors on the screen

Post by Jim-Jim »

SS, just a thought for you and all the others who like to use various colors to highlight something important. While visually interesting, most (especially blue/greens) will not print out well on black/white laser printers. In fact, some will not print at all (blank). When we print these very important gems for filing, it is disconcerting to have big blanks where the colors are. For instance, all of the contact options you provided were so faint in black/white, they were unreadable.

Black is best!! :D :D :D

Jim-Jim: as this is an active contact link, the poster has little influence on the color. It automatically turns blue when you post it asit remains "clickable". On the blue background, it does not show very well.
