Speedo over reading?

Post by sixinoz »

Speedo reads 80kph at 3000 rpm. Thought it felt slow so checked a gearing chart and should read 80 at 3500rpm. Gearing is standard and speedo needle is not slow and is rock steady. Anyone had a similiar problem?

These speedometers are notorious for reading fast. In my mph world, reading 5mph fast at 70 mph is common.
