Hello Gents,
I’ve managed to drop my crash helmet onto my speedo and…….
Yes broke the glass.
I doubt I’m the first to brake this glass, so does anyone know where or if it is
possible to source another glass, If not, some ideas how to resolve the problem
would be very helpful.

I'm sure that there is a speedo/gauge repair shop you can go to that can get you a glass for it.

There is a thread here on the forum that explains the procedure on how to remove the glass and the tools needed to do it.

Search for gauge repair with the forum search function.

I feel confident enough to complete the repair (famous last works)
its just sourcing the glass that holding me up.

as a temp solution I may shape (or melt) some Lexan polycarbonate sheet

I don't think you'll be happy with any other glass except a real Honda one. I'd keep my eye out for a real beater speedo or tach and salvage the glass from it. Louis over here I'm sure has lots of them he'd sell you. Just be a bit more for postage. Give him a shout.

That's what I used 20yrs ago when I replaced my lens, I did a lens in rose, light purple and amber, I went with the amber. I used the cracked OEM lens as a mold in my wife's oven to melt the Lexan with, it took 2 tries but I got it right and it came out great. The problem is the Lexan I used doesn't have any anti-glare properties, maybe it's available now or some type of anti-glare coating.

I have some pics of my gauges, I'll try to find them but I know I posted them somewhere here at some time in the past.

it could be a common honda part like a CB750 or 900 I'd check with Honda first then salvage yards...Louis will definitely have one

I may have a few extra lenses I made 20yrs ago laying around somewhere, let me know if you're interested.
