It wouldn't be the first time Dave got "volunteered".................... Who can tell me where and when?

Just shy of 13 years ago. We need to think about a reunion tour.

Agree! Rick - take a look at US RT 62, from Buffalo, NY to El Paso TX. Still the original road almost the whole with very little 4-lane. Goes through some very nice country the whole way. You catch some very nice mountain (well, sort of) country in NY and PA. Nice farm country in OH, right through the heart of the Bourbon Trail in KY, the Ozarks in AR, and so on. Timing might be tough, with it getting pretty hot in the Southwest by the time you get decent weather up here.

So many roads... Yes, US 62 would be nice in October, starting at Buffalo. I just did a little exploring on GoogleMaps, and discovered we've traveled a LOT of 62 in the past few years. Much of the Texas/New Mexico/OK portion, and we rode a good bit of it in Arkansas last year. And of course, it passes just a few miles south of our home base.

A simpler ride might be to just do the Blue Ridge Pkwy, running Monday-Thursday to miss traffic. That would only be 115 miles/day. leaving plenty of time for exploring and sight seeing.

This sounds like a topic of discussion in the parking lot in Williamsport.

Definitely will be parking lot fodder for Wiiliamsport. Some great roads through NC, TN and KY that could entertain. Either fixed point rally or moving rally. I think West Jeff a few years back showed the potential.

A NOTE TO ALL: Parking lot CBX informal swap meet during the rally. If you have CBX 'stuff' you would like to sell, bring it along. Anything, whatever. Put it in the lot during bench racing sessions. This will not be organized. Just set it out, or however, while peo;le are around. Never know who might be looking for what.

I've been away from the club for quite a while, but have booked a room from Tuesday till Sunday. I recently picked up a 79 that hasn't run in about 15 years. so I will probably be looking for a few parts. It was the first CBX I ever rode back in the 80's, so t has a sentimental value to me. Looking forward to meeting all of you guys.

Dave ,
Look forward to seeing you as well. Haven't been to a meet since, Western Pa, rally that CBXMAN ran. Hope all is well with you and the family. I've been emailing Bob Buhler about what I've been up to. I've recently acquired my late friend Jorge's 79 bike, so I'm going to need advice on some things since it was stored outside under a tarp with only a metal roof for cover. I shared this link with Bob I don't know if you guys have seen it yet.

Well...I was about to cancel my reservation and miss the rally because I didn't have time to get a bike running. Took a quick look around for a used bike and my wife said no more used bikes....buy a new one. Now my biggest challenge is to complete 600 miles so that the break-in service can be performed Tuesday morning on my way to the rally. She is definitely a keeper.
