End head bolt replacement

Post by sixinoz »

I have one odd end head bolt (8 x 50 ) that is driving me crazy every time I look at it. NLA at any dealers - who is the best source - Louis?

Is there any problem in removing this one bolt and replacing with the correct one and torquing to spec?

I am hoping the original was just lost and the thread was not stripped therefore different bolt fitted. :handgestures-fingerscrossed:

There are lots of them around, hopefully one comes available on OZ. No problem just removing and replacing that one bolt.

I have one but am in the states. If you need other stuff it would offset your shipping costs.

Thanks Tevan - only other items I need are the 79 flat main fuse holder (mine was replaced with a bayonet type) and the 2 seat brackets that hold the seat onto the front of the grab bar.
Here in Oz it is virtually impossible to find used spares and even gaskets etc have to come from USA.
