Looking for crash bars and highway pegs for 1980 CBX

Post by Goldie »

Hi,
I'm looking to buy a gift for bf. He has a 1980 CBX 1000. Are there any crash bars that actually look nice and fit like a glove?
Thanks, Goldie

Hondaline crash guards are effective, look good and fit close to the engine.
They are difficult to find and usually pricey.
Tims has a reproduction that looks similar.
Foot pegs would have to be added.

Further to what Steve said, just to be very clear: Honda did not offer any foot pegs. There are many aftermarket accessory footpegs that will attach to the bars. A matter of what the individual prefers.

I just wonder... how uncomfortable will it be, to sit on a CBX (maybe even with low bars) and stretch your legs all the way to the engine guards to put your feet on a peg...

Feels mighty good, Mike, after the first 100 miles with your feet under you. Why I ride without the lowers.
