I'm only a few days from making some wheel/tire/gearing changes to my 82 CBX, I went looking for some calculations that would tell how these changes would effect my bike speed/gearing.
I found this site that is very helpful.

To use the gear speed calculator, you must have java script enabled, and there is even a test for the java script.
You will need to know your tire width (in MM), the tire aspect ratio, the transmission ratio (I used the primary reduction #'s) and the final reduction, (this is the number I changed to reflect the rear sprocket size from 36-44 teeth).
Since math wasn't a strong suit for me, I was thrilled to find this, and wanted to share.
This site is easy to use and gave me some numbers to compare.
