82" Front wobble

Post by SPLINTER »

Can anyone chime in on the most effective sequence of test necessary to determine the cause a front end wobble on my 82". The tire has now developed some chopping ( flat spots ). Before I replace the tire, I’d like to eliminate the cause. Should I replace wheel bearings first or maybe steering column bearings? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Very best,
Leslie Bianchi

There is a variety of possible causes for front end wobble. Poor condition of fork oil or lack thereof on one side, steering neck bearings not adjusted right, wheel bearings play, wheel alignment out of whack.
