Headlight shell connector layout

Post by Fraserc »

Hi,

I am replacing the headlight on my 79 Z as it came fitted with and aftermarket faring. I have a good original shell and just need to understand the best routing and location of the connectors in the various slots within the shell. Can someone please post a pic of the correctly assembled headlight wiring please.

On another point , should the top of horn sit inside the lower cut out on the headlamp shell ?

Thanks !

There is some good pictures in the service manual on all the wiring locations. On a second note the horn mounts below the headlight bucket with 2 screws on the headlight bracket.

As Terry said, the factory shop manual shows very clearly every thing you need to know.
