Aftermarket or OEM carb insulators

Looking to buy a set of carb insulators for 81 CBX. There are oem that are available various places and then there are the ones on eBay, dirt cheap. I am steering clear of eBay but wondering if there any aftermarket that have better material then oem ? Reason I asked because technology changed in last 40 years and like the Veton o rings we get for carb rebuild, may be there are similar insulators available that are better than oem which are more resistant to heat cycles and don’t loose their flexibility.

I had set of reproduction insulators from Randakk and had no issues whatsoever.
Don't know if he carries the ones for the ProLink.

Personally, I go with what Bill Brint has at TIMS CBX.

You do need the Pro-Link specific rubbers if you are using the stock Pro-Link air box. If you’re using pods you can use either version.

Stock Honda ones are excellent, probably the best, Randall carries both versions and are excellent too. Stay away from the cheapies. Can’t comment on TIMS ones, haven’t used them, but I’m sure they are fine.

Yes Dave. Keeping airbox for prolink and steering clear of pods. I will go with original Honda
Thanks

I have aftermarket ones, 0 mile ones off school bikes and as NOS (new old stock) Honda all in stock. There is a difference between 81/81 Prolink and 79/80. The real cheap ones you see on Ebay are not very good unless you want to change them again in a short time. You can email me at usedcbxparts@hotmail.com or thru web page www.usedcbxparts.com if you still need a set.
