Carb mid-airbox rubbers

Does anyone know if you need to seal the rubber carb insulators to the mid box when replacing them? These are the two piece, three insulators between the rear of the carbs to air box. They have a two sided channel and seem very tight but it looked like there was a sealant in the past
Thanks

Honda did, probably not necessary though. I have used black silicone sealer for that as it matches what Honda used. Unless those had to come out for repair/restoration, they were not meant to regularly come apart and should not be separated normally.

They weren't even available separate from the airbox as a replacement part.

I know, it kills me when ebay sellers separate these air chambers into all the separate parts to sell.
