Choke High Idle

Post by GLHS60 »

Hello:

Is there a separate adjustment for high idle speed with the choke on??

Idle speed with the choke on is too high.

Thanks

Yes, there is, but the carbs have to come off. But it shouldn't be a problem because you should never let these idle on choke anyway. Be ready to go and ride away. Fast idle on choke will blue pipes almost instantly.

I appreciate the reply Dave!

My carbs are not good and I have to apply some choke to keep it from stalling when coming to a stop.

I don't ride much anymore but should get the carbs in order, hopefully over the winter.

Thanks

Terrific to see you reinforce this, Dave! Thank you! Honda actually reminded owners of this in the owner's manuals of many of their models as far back as the 1980s but I don't recall if the CBX was included.
