Hi, I have a recently acquired 1979 CBX that is in very good shape. Previous owner had the carbs cleaned. When the bike is fully warmed the idle hangs at 2.5-3k rpm and is very slow to return to 1k rpm idle. I have checked all throttle cables for hanging up and lubed them. I am looking for guidance to resolve starting with simple stuff to check before tearing into the carbs. I am wondering about carb synch but not sure it would cause the issue I am having.
Otherwise the bike runs great and is very strong and smooth in the upper revs.
thanks for any help

Could be sync issue, maybe an air leak?

Like Mello has pointed out, synch and air leak should be checked first.
