I have seen several CBXes converted to EFI and talked to a couple of owners who did the job.
If you find it, you can read my article on CBX World from the early 2000s about Stefan Jung's fuel injected Martin. They are all ongoing projects.
None of them runs the way the owners wanted them to or they should.
Starting with the injectors, to the manifolds, to the mapping... a lot of it is hit and miss and changing and experimenting.
It is a long, long way to gratification.
Mike, I appreciate the insight and I take this very seriously.
I realize that this is not an easy change or even one that's guaranteed to pay off - for me, it's worth the risk and the effort.
My plan to mitigate the risks is to do the following:
Retain the entire stock intake tract: stock airbox, intake manifolds, and convert the stock carbs for use as TBs.
Use a modern engine management system that can run closed-loop, along with a WB02 sensor.
Leverage self-tuning features once the tune is close.

2 years and its alive ! Got 5 gears, best part no oil leaks , Went one more step up on Idle jets and nice smooth idle and easy start,,, Midrange has Nice Punch !! no stumble , Had a nice ride , BUT !! you just know something else needed attention. Stock 40 year old fuel petcock leaking . not sure if i should use a Pingle or if stock new is available... prefer stock need to look at options .2 years goes by fast
Yes, rebuild yours. Randakk, Mike Nixon and Honda all carry the part. Honda's part number is not for the CBX, it's for some older '60-'70s models. In addition, Mike carries the larger rebuild rubber for the '82 Pro-Link petcock.
Sorry, never thought to mention that's one of the first things you should have done during your rebuild.
Glad it leaked now than latter ,Been doing the work in my basement and always remove the tank and drain it before any combustibles enter my lower level, and now it is stored in our RV toy hauler for the riding season glad it didn't leak in there either, Good recommendation to rebuild replace valve,, Still working on my new garage, Not traveling coast to coast in the RV this year need to stay home and finish projects, Got to watch that fuel,,, fella couple miles away burned his house down yesterday pulling his Motorcycle gas tank off, https://turnto10.com/news/local/red-cro ... the-ground
Update, Runs strong,,,Jet change feels much better it was still lean in the idle circuit, Trans replacement from 81 is solid, So i took it to Americade and cruised the strip and lake for the week..it is a gas to ride the larger rear sprocket has some off the line punch ! hard to keep the front end down lol
