Also made the rear light mount and a tail tidy for the number plate and the dime size Motogadget rear indicators.

Looking good so far.

Either garage is too small or we have too many bikes. Or Momma's car needs to go outside.

Wow, beautiful work. Only problem now is the original stamped parts of the frame look like crap compared to what you fabricated.

Its been slow progress as of late due to work being so busy, but that's not something I can complain about at times like this. I have been able to rough out the foam on my seat. The black layer at the bottom is a closed cell foam so the rider wont have any chance of hitting the seat pan and the green foam is a open cell high density foam for motorcycle seats so its super comfy.

I painted the frame and rims in 'pitch black' with some 2 pack paint. Originally I wanted to anodise the swingarm but there was cast pieces in it and they don't anodise well apparently so I sent them to the powder coaters and had them done in fast gold. Finally it was back rolling again. I was able to buy some 75mm extension inserts online and then I modified my internals to to match. Ill end up dropping the forks through the triple clamps about 20mm to keep the original ride height :D

Nice work, I’ll be following your progress. I’m looking for a bike for a similar type build.

I'm not the builder in this thread, but since you're asking about electronic speedo/tach, I'm going to pop in with my experience. I went with SpeedHut - you can customize almost everything about the gauges - including adding your own graphics etc. if you want. They offer a GPS speedo which only needs power, but I went with a sensor-based unit because I find GPS slightly flaky at times in the downtown core of my city.

I wanted something that looked near-stock, and I wanted a clock in place of the factory voltmeter:

This is before I went back and added anti-reflective film to those gauges, which was a huge help in killing the glare.
